Take it to the Top
If the person in question does not engage you in a good faith attempt to solve the problem and you feel that you might get relief from others in the organization, take constructive action.

Go two steps above your boss in the operational hierarchy and ask for help. Explain the situation. Present your data. Ask for action to remove the bully or to put safeguards into place to stop the abuse. Have positive suggestions for a remedy.

Going to the bully's boss might simply put that person into a position where he or she feels the need to defend their direct report. You want to avoid creating that dilemma if possible. By going two or more steps up the chain of command you have a better chance for a fair hearing.

By going up the operational chain, rather than going to HR, you will be dealing with someone who has the power to affect the bully directly. This is not true in every company nor is it true of every HR organization. However, this is the surest course to take in general.

Be Prepared to Leave
There is no guarantee that anyone will do the right thing. When you decide to take action, be prepared for conditions to worsen. In that case, your most effective course of action is to remove yourself from a hopeless situation.

Line up references before you bring the issue to a head. Create a financial cushion for yourself if possible. At least, start your preliminary networking before you raise the issue publicly at work.

Talk to your friends and family about your situation at work. Seek their emotional support. Do not be ashamed of yourself. The abuse stems from the problems of the bully. They do not reflect upon you. Too often the victims of bullying isolate themselves out of shame or fear and then they feel more trapped than ever.

Your greatest vulnerability comes from the fact that you feel that you have no options. Change the dynamics. Create options for yourself. Even if the end result is a difficult transition for you, you will be serving your best interests in the long run by refusing to tolerate such abuse. It can be costly to change jobs. However, the price of submitting to a bully is always devastating while it offers almost no prospect for a change.

Conclusions
Not everyone in a leadership role is a good leader. Some people abuse their power simply because they can. These people are bullies.

Bullying happens in the work place. A bully in a position of authority can make life miserable for his or her victims. Bullying is a sign of emotional immaturity in a leader.

Even if you have made a mistake or fell short of your goals, bullying is different from constructive criticism. Bullying seeks to hurt or punish. It isn't aimed at improving performance.

Companies that tolerate bullies in the management ranks are going to remain sub-optimized. Because bullying doesn't correct underlying problems, other frustrations will arise and those too will be met with abusive reactions. It is a no win situation.

Because true bullying is an emotional problem it is seldom remedied by reason or logic. It isn't a rational problem. If you are a victim of a bully it is your responsibility to take care of yourself by changing the dynamics of the relationship with your abuser.

Assess your situation. Make preparations to increase your options. Recognize that you may have to change employment to affect an end to the abuse. This might not be fair, but it is realistic.

OK! Where did everyone go???
Are you all so HAPPY at TM?
I guess you must!
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how a few of us are still in the backround fighting TM and the rest of you just do a lot of talking but no actions are taken on your part to join the fight!
If all these women at walmart had remained silent, Walmart would have won!
Please come forward and join the fight! So many of us are under WC and not getting a dime or flat out denied WC for injuries!
You do not have to post your names just email ED or MO and they will get your message forwarded to the right place!
All of you at TM need to read:
"Winning through intimidation" by Robert J. Ringer, and hopefully your light will turn on!
As I feel right now, the lights are on but no one is home! Get it!
You want us to fight but no one is willing to come forward!
TM can not hurt you, they just manipulate you in hope to scare you and guess what it worked!!!
Nothing has changed in the stores, and it won't why? YOU!
YES "you" the "peon" as corporate like to call us. In the business world NO ONE is irreplaceable and trust me you are at the bottom of the food chain so why should they care?
Hopefully I have made you mad, because I am and TM did hurt me!
Will you be next???
God Bless.

This blogg is to inform and increase awareness of an unsuspecting TM employees about their need to take action to protect themselves from extreme harm as a result of widespread fraudulent witnesses and untrue words comming from their mouths and bad faith insurance claim practices by a significant number of our country's insurance companies. As a result you need to know before something happens, that would damage your claim, whether TM insurer is good, possibly bad insurer. Is important for you to know so that you can give important information to your lawyer and take in consideration whether to take immediate action and switch your lawyer that is not working like you expect, do this at the earliest possible convenient time in order to best protect you and your family in advance of an adverse event occurring where your claim was denied for no good reason and went unpaid which would/could put you in substantial jeopardy and result in losing everything and your life as you know it. Each person that takes action to protect themselves before is too late, also impacts and sends a strong message to the TM insurer that they don't want to pay whose criminal and fraudulent activities by some of the upper management at the company who are intent on illegally withholding and denying coverage and fraudulently not paying claims which are legitimately due you by law in order to benefit their company's profits and their own personal gains and intentionally do you significant harm.

Widespread corruption and fraud in the insurance industry has been found and acknowledged to exist and to be widespread as confirmed by governmental agencies and many others. Fortunately, We the American people by the freedom to choose, and the power inherently bestowed upon them by the Constitution, are the only ones able to effectuate the necessary corrective change regarding the corruption in the insurance industry. To TM employees learn how to do get medical help from your own WC doctor chossen by you and furthermore don't be taken in by their usual procedure which is to only comment on the dollar amount of claims they have allegedly selected to pay. One more thing, go to an employment agency and ask them to find you another job. This could be done with absolute discretion. On your day off.The pay rate is higher too if you qualify for the job.Good luck!
